St. Charles
Literacy volunteers needed Literacy Volunteers of Illinois, a statewide organization committed to developing and supporting volunteer literacy programs, is seeking St. Charles area residents to be volunteers in their Jump Start Program. Volunteers empower incarcerated teens to raise their literacy and math skills through tutoring and mentoring. Currently there are seven Jump Start programs, one for each of the Illinois Youth Centers. Volunteers all around the state give hours to teens.
