The winter holidays seem far off, but if you ask Rena Church, director and curator for the Aurora Public Arts Commission, it's never too early to start making your gift list.
On Oct. 9, from 6 to 9 p.m. during Aurora's Art Walk, the commission will be selling off much of its inventory at the museum store at the David L. Pierce Art and History Center, as well as jewelry and textile pieces by local artists, as it hosts a mini art fair at the downtown Aurora location, 20 W. Downer Place. The museum shop closed this month after city layoffs and will no longer exist in its "open five days a week" format.
