Aalto, Hugo Alvar Henrik (1898–1976). Finnish architect, among the most important C20 designers, he started his career as a Neoclassicist in Jyväskylä (1923–7), but, influenced by CIAM and by Aino Marsio (1894–1949)—his wife and partner from 1925—became involved in International Modernism after his office moved to Turku.
