Parmalat sued Bank of America on Thursday, seeking damages of $10 billion, saying the U.S. bank deliberately misled investors about the true state of Parmalat's finances. In an 89-page complaint, filed in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of North Carolina, Parmalat accused Bank of America, the third-largest U.S. bank, of fraud, aiding and abetting breach of fiduciary duty and diversion of corporate assets, among other things.
