(October 11) SADR CITY, IRAQ-- Iraqi national guardsmen take
stock of weapons handed over to police in Sadr City in Baghdad,
Monday, October 11, 2004, the first day of an agreement between
the Iraqi government and supporters of the rebel cleric Muqtada
al Sadr. Fighters turned in their weapons for cash payments that
ranged from $170 for grenade launchers to $750 for sniper rifles.
