The brother of top Bosnian Serb war crimes suspect Radovan Karadzic has begun serving a 40-day prison term for firing a gun in the air at a celebration, an official said Sunday.

Luka Karadzic began serving out the sentence on Saturday at a prison near the Montengrin capital, warden Dragan Pajovic told The Associated Press

A court found him guilty of jeopardizing public order and security for firing gunshots in the air at a celebration in the north of the Balkan republic in 2001.
