EVERY year as the festive season, especially Hari Raya, approaches, the authorities would launch a special operation aimed at reducing road fatalities, but sad to say, without success.
Again this year, no less than the Prime Minister has made it a personal crusade to appeal to motorists to make the roads safer, including coming down hard on errant motorists.
Last year, over 6,200 people died on our roads, which means that on an average day 17 people became road fatalities.
