Economic problems caused by higher petrol prices, which have cut the purchasing
power of Thai consumers, are not expected to affect sales of gift baskets
this year.
The Mall Group expects to sell over Bt80 million of New Year gift
baskets this year.
"Gift baskets are still a good alternative for Thai consumers,
particularly corporate people who want to buy products as New Year gifts,"
Chamnarn Maytaprechakul, chief marketing officer of the Mall Group, said.

Tops Supermarket also expected growth of more than 30 per cent in its
