A rise in long-life packaged milk consumption will indicate the development
of a modern and civilized dairy market in the country, said Russia's leading
food packaging firm.
Tetra Pak, which plans to open its largest factory in Easter Europe in
the Moscow region in 2006, has been trying to up sales of long-life or
UHT milk in the Northwest region this year, said the company's management
on Wednesday.
Although the company is not a milk or dairy producer, it has been
investing hundreds of thousand of dollars into developing the market segment.
