Top Serbian officials will meet Saturday to discuss the appointment of a former ethnic Albanian rebel leader _ whom the Serbs accuse of war crimes _ as Kosovo prime minister.

The meeting of top government officials, including President Boris Tadic and other leaders, was apparently aimed at underlining the Serb opposition to the appointment Friday of Ramush Haradinaj, a Kosovo separatist leader turned politician, as the province's prime minister.

The Serb authorities accuse Haradinaj of committing war crimes against Serb civilians in western Kosovo, where he led rebel troops of the separatist ...
