Top Serbian officials gathered Saturday for a meeting expected to denounce the appointment of Kosovo's new prime minister, a former ethnic Albanian rebel leader whom the Serbs accuse of war crimes.

The meeting of leaders including President Boris Tadic was apparently aimed at underlining the Serb opposition to the appointment Friday of Ramush Haradinaj, a Kosovo separatist leader turned politician, as prime minister of the U.N.-administered province.
