Gov. Joe Kernan and his administration are anticipating major changes to
state government as a means to simplify state agencies and make state
government more accountable in the work that they carry out.
The Peak Performance, the title given by Kernan during his State of the
State address in January, was handed to Lt. Gov. Kathy Davis in early
winter for research and to form a plan for implementation.
"The business of state government is really the business of all Hoosiers.
We owe it to taxpayers to do our best to save them time and money, as well
as do our jobs efficiently and effectively," Gov. Kernan said.
