DENVER -- The First Data Western Union Foundation and Western Union
Financial Services, Inc. announced that they are taking an active role in
providing immediate relief to the people of the Caribbean islands most
affected by recent hurricanes.
The First Data Western Union Foundation will provide a grant of $ 50,000 to
the international Federation of the Red Cross Red Crescent to support
victims of Hurricane Ivan throughout the Caribbean. The First Data Western
Union Foundation, launched by First Data in 2000, was established to
address needs in the areas of education, health and basic human services.
