For the past three years, over 1000 Detroit youth have reaped the benefits
from The Next Vision Foundation. With fundraising events, such as the
masquerade ball, which is set for Nov. 5 at the New Detroit Science Center,
the foundation is able to support programs for young and old.
This year's masquerade ball will feature a live and silent auction -- a
first in the event's history. There will also be several celebrities on
hand, including Mayor Kwame Kilpatrick and Congresswoman Carolyn
Cheeks-Kilpatrick. The Next Vision Foundation hopes to raise $300,000
through ticket sales and sponsorship packages from the ball.
