Pizza Inn Inc.'s board has fired president and CEO Ronald W. Parker for "violations of his employment agreement" and the restaurant company postponed indefinitely its annual shareholder meeting originally scheduled for Wednesday.
The company, which franchises over 400 restaurants with annual chainwide sales of approximately $170 million, said in a statement Tuesday that Parker was fired at a special board meeting on Saturday.
It said a search has begun for a new CEO but that the board appointed Rod McDonald, Pizza Inn's secretary and general counsel, as acting CEO.
