A few weeks from now, a decidedly more conservative Congress will reconvene with a strong Republican majority. But in the Senate, there are a handful of increasingly outspoken moderates. Among the most prominent are Republican Senators John McCain of Arizona, Susan Collins and Olympia Snowe of Maine, and Lincoln Chafee of Rhode Island.
