Lenovo Group Likely to See 42.1 Liabilities-to-assets Ratio

BEIJING, Jan 04, 2005 (SinoCast via COMTEX) -- Chinese PC giant Lenovo Group will see a growth in its liabilities to assets ratio up to 42.1 after taking over the debt-laden IBM's PC sector.

According to the financial statements International Business Machines (NYSE: IBM) handed over to the Securities and ExchangeCommission of the US, its PC unit had totally brought USD 965 million losses in the past three and half years. Impressively, the sector had reported losses of USD 139 million in the interim results for the first half of 2004, increasing 43 yearon year.
