Lenovo Group Plans to Set Up Subsidiary in Japan

BEIJING, Jan 05, 2005 (SinoCast via COMTEX) -- Lenovo Group Limited (HKSE: 0992), the largest personal computer maker in China, announces that it plans to take over IBM's subsidiary in Japan and schedules to establish its own subsidiary in Japan in April 2005. Hiroyuki Mukai, head in charge of the PC unit of IBM Japan, is expected to be the president of proposed Lenovo Japan.
