When two high-profile chief executives from the world's largest IT
companies come calling on India within the same week, it's a measure of the
growing clout of the country in terms of a rapidly growing economy, a huge
market, an excellent talent pool and technological prowess.

Steve Ballmer, CEO, Microsoft, the world's largest software firm, and Craig
Barrett, CEO, Intel, the world's largest chip manufacturer, were in India
November 16 and November 18 to expand their footprint in the country and
invest more in a market which they feel holds the key to their global
plans.
