Many stereotypes follow African Americans. The most well known is the idea
of "soul food."

Soul food is the term used to describe African-American cooking as it
evolved from the days of slavery in the U.S. The most popular of soul food
is fried chicken. When asked the question if we as Black people eat fried
chicken all the time, many are outraged.

Shawn Louis, a senior at Broad Ripple High School, has this to say, "We do
eat a lot of chicken, but we do eat other foods. Our taste doesn't stop at
fried chicken."

And when asked the same about hot sauce his response was this. "Yes, we do
use hot sauce a lot. No I don't agree with stereotyping every Black ...
