Bruce Crawford will leave his post as chairman of Lincoln Center in June, the performing arts organization announced Thursday.

Crawford, 75, is leaving as the center's $1.5 billion redevelopment plan gets underway next year. He said he didn't expect his resignation to affect the plan's progress.

A nominating committee will choose a successor "in the coming months," Lincoln Center said in a statement.
