As an expert in emergency medicine, Ami K Dave, was one of the doctors who
attended on people brought from the World Trade Center during the 9/11
tragedy.

As the stream of patients continued, the hospital she worked in became the
focus of the media. It hampered the medical staff, Dave said at an American
Association of Physicians of Indian Origin conference on the role of the
media in 2002. Her comments got much attention as it came from somebody
facing ground reality during a crisis.
