Faced with the prospect of losing the hosting rights for the 2010 Commonwealth Games due to bureaucratic delays, New Delhi on Sunday said it had formed an organizing panel.
Indian Olympic Committee president and a ruling party lawmaker, Suresh Kalmadi, will be the chairman of the organizing committee, said Arjun Singh, the federal Human Resource Development minister, who has been appointed head of the group of ministers formed for speedy Commonwealth Games preparations.
