The situation in Darfur was just one of the topics on the agenda at a meeting of the African Union in Nigeria. The AU was created three years ago as a replacement for the Organization of African Unity, which was often criticized as a toothless talking shop and a dictators club. The AU was supposed to emphasize good governance, democracy and especially conflict resolution. NPR's Ofeibea Quist-Arcton has this report from the AU's fourth annual summit.
