CITIC Prudential Allowed to Operate Group Life Insurance
BEIJING, Feb 04, 2005 (SinoCast via COMTEX) -- CITIC Prudential Life InsuranceCompany Ltd., a Sino-foreign joint insurer, has got approval tooffer group life insurance services in China recently.
CITIC Prudential is a 50-50 joint venture of Prudential, a leading insurance company in the UK, and CITIC Group, a Chineseconglomerate. It expects to officially start group life insurance business from the second quarter of this year.
China opened up the group life insurance market since December 11, 2004, in accordance with China's commitments for WTO accession.
