RU: Scotland's coach slams Irish touch judge

PARIS, Feb 5 Reuters - Coaches Bernard Laporte and Matt Williams were two angry men
in the Stade de France news conference room on Saturday after the French scraped a lucky
16-9 win over Scotland in their Six Nations opener.

"I'm angry because the performance of our players was something people in Scotland
can be proud of," said Williams, whose side were leading 9-6 when they were controversially
denied a try.

The touch judge ruled that number eight Allister Hogg had put his foot in touch while
running for the line in the 68th minute. Television replays cast doubts over the decision.
