Vic: Steve Bracks says no case to change abortion laws
MELBOURNE, Feb 6 AAP - Victorian Premier Steve Bracks has dismissed the current focus
on abortion laws as a Clayton's debate.
Mr Bracks said there was no case for the current abortion laws to change, and that
his government would not support any change.
Senior Nationals senator Ron Boswell last week reignited the abortion debate by requesting
detailed statistical information about women who had terminations and what the procedures
cost.
Pro-life federal Labor backbencher John Murphy also proposed putting forward a private
member's bill to force doctors to provide more information about ...
