Angry Englewood residents lambasted the City Council on Tuesday night for quietly passing an ordinance last summer that provides post-retirement health benefits until death for unclassified city employees.
The main purpose of the ordinance was to set the city manager's salary at $140,000, and an ordinance to that effect was introduced June 9, but without the health benefits clause. The clause appeared later in a newspaper notice and in the final ...
