NT: Teens trucked 10O0km to Darwin to go home at public expense

A group of teenagers who endured a journey of 1,000 kilometres in the back of a police
wagon in the Northern Territory are to be sent home at government expense.

The four boys, all aged 15 or 16, complained to the territory's ombudsman after they
were transported from Borroloola to Darwin to face court after being arrested for alleged
breaking and entering.
