Here in the US, Episcopalians see a continuing split of the worldwide Anglican Communion, of which their church is a part, on the issue of homosexuality. The churches in the US and Canada are more liberal on the issue, and last week at a meeting of the church's leaders in Northern Ireland, the American churches were asked not to attend the next meeting of a group of clerics and laypeople who gather periodically to discuss church policy.
