After a soothing talk to his dejected players, Bates Coach Jim Murphy glanced at the Bowdoin celebra- tion.
"I'm getting tired of watching this," he said with a smile.
Bowdoin beat Bates 65-59 Sunday before a loud, capacity crowd of 1,711 at Morrell Gymnasium to win the New England Small College Athletic Conference women's basketball title for the fifth straight year, the last three with Bates the opponent in the final.
