(Oklahoma Daily) (U-WIRE) NORMAN, Okla. -- The University of Oklahoma debate team has high expectations as it prepares for its first national tournament of the year in Washington, D.C.
With a strong reputation and a high-ranking finish last year, members of the team said they hope to make a good showing at the Junior Varsity/Novice National Competitions at Georgetown University in Washington, D.C., and at Johnson County Community College in Kansas City, Mo., at the beginning of the month. They will also attend the Cross Examination Debate Association Nationals in San Francisco and have qualified a team to compete in the National Debate Tournament.
