Lenovo Group Eyes on US Lower-price PC Market

BEIJING, Mar 07, 2005 (SinoCast via COMTEX) -- Steve Ward, soon-to-be-named CEO of Lenovo Group, China's largest PC maker, reveals that the group will roll out a series of lower-price personal computers in the US market, after finishing the acquisition for IBM PC unit in the second quarter this year. This series is a supplement to IBM's ThinkPad and ThinkCenter PC series.

Mr. Ward says that Lenovo Group will sell this series PC via IBM's distributor networks in the US while these products target the small office and home office (SOHO) and small-to-medium-size business (SMB) markets.
