(The Rebel Yell) (U-WIRE) LAS VEGAS -- Blogs have slowly crept into everyday language and have started to impact human society.
The word blog is a shortened version of Web log. The first Web log, http://info.cern.ch/, was actually the first Web site.
The site was used to point to new Web sites as they came online, so it was updated quite often. Then NCSA's What's New page took the baton for a while, and then Netscape ran with it from 1993-1996 until the World Wide Web exploded, and more and more people started blogging.
