TCL Suffers Reduced Share in Mobile Phone Market

HUIZHOU, Mar 08, 2005 (SinoCast via COMTEX) -- TCL sold 630,000 mobile phones in January 2005, a decrease of 10 percent year on year.

TCL mainly produces color TVs, personal computers, and mobile phones.

Sales of mobile phones in 2003 accounted for 33 percent of TCL's total sales. It sold 6.21 million mobile phones from January to September 2004, a decrease of 11.5 percent year on year. The declining situation didn't change in early 2005.
