Qld: Couple celebrate 78th wedding anniversary

BRISBANE, March 10 AAP - A challenge has been issued to find Australia's longest married
couple after a man and a woman in central Queensland celebrated their 78th wedding anniversary.

William and Estella Warry, better known as Bill and Stella, married in their late teens.

Now in their 90s, the couple live in an aged care hostel in the central Queensland
town of Mount Morgan, west of Rockhampton.

They were both still in good health and celebrated their wedding anniversary on January
5, said Central Queensland Labor MP Jim Pearce.
