(Columbia Daily Spectator) (U-WIRE) NEW YORK -- Some students find thefacebook.com to be a great source of information and procrastination. Others find that it can be a source of offensive material.

The Web site, which allows college students to create profiles, connect to other students, send messages and form groups based on common interests, has thousands of members at Columbia University. More than a month ago, a racially offensive Columbia Facebook group called "I want to be an Asian Sensation" disappeared from the site, thanks to a letter sent by Calvin Sun, '08, on behalf of the Office of Multicultural Affairs and the Asian American Alliance.
