Protesters seized another administration building in southern Kyrgyzstan, government and opposition officials said Wednesday, boosting the opposition's grip on the south and stepping up pressure on President Askar Akayev's government.
Accounts of the seizure of the Kadamjay district administration building Tuesday evening varied. Opposition forces had taken control of the regional administrations in the southern cities of Osh and Jalal-Abad earlier this week.
