Dinosaurs last roamed the Earth some 65 million years ago. So how do we know so much about them?

Paleontologists are scientists who use fossils to study the past. Fossils are the remains of long-dead animals (like dinosaurs) or plants. Most fossils are formed from the hard parts of an animal’s body, such as bones, shells, or teeth. Some fossils are imprints , like the outline of a leaf, or dinosaur footprints.
