Thursday, March 24, 2005 -- Holding company Clal Industries said on Monday that it made a 2004 net profit of NIS 320 million, following a loss of NIS 129m. in 2003, due to increased income from most of the companies in which it owns shares.

Income from portfolio companies soared to NIS 127m. from NIS 17m., with the biggest contributor being Mashav Initiating and Development Corp. Clal's earnings from the construction company more than tripled to NIS 142m. from NIS 44.5, while its earnings from Scitex Corp., a maker of digital imaging equipment, ...
