Friday, March 11, 2005 -- Rats love garbage and the city of Jerusalem has lots of it.
So it's not surprising that increasingly, residents all over our city are complaining about close encounters of the unpleasant kind with omnivorous rodents.
Says Fay Gersten from Mevassert Zion, "I lived in Brooklyn before I moved to Israel and took the subway everyday to New York. I am used to seeing large rats. However, the rat I saw in Givat Shaul the other day was huge."
