Gansu Province Invites Bidding for Construction of Wind Power Plant

GANSU, Apr 13, 2005 (SinoCast via COMTEX) -- Gansu province is about to invite public bidding for construction of the wind power plant in AnxiCounty.

Anxi County is located in the west of Gansu Corridor and surrounded by the desert and mountains. The special geographic conditions bring about heavy wind every year. The wind speed onaverage reaches 3.7 meters per second and maximum wind power isusually Grade 12.

Gansu province has been stressing the usage of wind power, which is an important supplement to the power supply in the northwestern province of China.
