A District Court judge from Kittery has been nominated to fill one of Maine's 16 Superior Court posts.
Gov. John Baldacci announced Wednesday that he has nominated Joyce Wheeler, 56, of Kittery to replace a retiring Superior Court judge.
Wheeler, who has served as a District Court judge in York since 1999, is credited with expanding programs related to domestic violence and drug offenses.
