Vic: Gallipoli pop music 'offensive' says RSL
Blaring pop music played at Gallipoli as part of the 90th anniversary of the ANZAC
landings and the resulting piles of garbage have been branded offensive by the RSL.
RSL Victoria chief executive JOHN DEIGHTON also says the mounds of rubbish left by
the crowd at the historic landing site also show a lack of respect.
He says the commemoration amounted to a rock concert, and says you can't get any more
offensive than playing the Bee Gees track Stayin' Alive.
