(The Lariat) (U-WIRE) WACO, Texas -- You can talk all you want, but some politicians may still get to overrule the minority. The ongoing Democratic filibustering against Republican judicial nominees in the U.S. Senate has caused some Republican senators to threaten changing the rules, which would prohibit the use of judicial filibusters -- a plausible move considering the Republican majority.
The move, now referred to as the "nuclear option," is a tactic being threatened by some Republican leaders to push the Democrats to an up or down vote on the Senate floor to confirm President George W. Bush's judicial nominees.
