(Kansas State Collegian) (U-WIRE) MANHATTAN, Kan. -- It is a ritual that all men go through. Once they hit that golden age, boys get taller, they trade their alto spot in the choir for a seat in the tenor section and they begin to sport facial hair.

Facial hair can be as original as the person sporting it. From the more common goatee and mustache to the humorous beards from the days of yore, facial hair comes in just about every shape, size, color and thickness. Even this fearless writer can be seen sporting mutton chops around campus.

The occurrence of facial hair often comes with the boredom of shaving.
