Kyle Lowry wasn't supposed to play basketball for Villanova this season.
He had torn the anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee in a summer
pickup game. He had surgery on the knee in September. It looked as if Jay
Wright, Wildcats' head coach, wouldn't have the former Cardinal Dougherty
star on the floor.
"I spent a lot of time rehabbing," Lowry said. "I worked hard to get back
on the court. I'm glad everything worked out. I want to help the team as
much as possible. Right now, we're playing some good basketball."
Lowry made his college debut on Dec. 31 with five points, including a
spectacular shot under the basket for his first college score, ...
