Ten South Asians are among the 108 regional finalists selected for the
White House Fellows program, one of the nation's most prestigious programs
for leadership and public service.
The regional finalists represent a cross-section of professions, including
business, education, healthcare, finance, law, local and state government,
and non-profit. The five branches of the military are represented.
The non-partisan program, founded by President Lyndon B Johnson in 1964
offers firsthand experience working at the highest levels of the federal
government for exceptional people.
