Huawei Technologies Singed USD54mn of Deal with Pakistan

BEIJING, May 16, 2005 (SinoCast via COMTEX) -- Huawei Technologies Co., Ltd. (Huawei Technologies) wrapped up a contract with Pakistan's mobile operator on May 12, involving USD 54 million.

Under the terms of the contract, Huawei Technologies will undertake the construction of a 5,000-kilometer national trunk DWDM transmission line and GSM networks for Pakistan, and help to further expand the GSM network's coverage area there.
