Thursday, May 19, 2005 -- The World Likud is planning to hold elections which could jeopardize the candidacy of Ra'anana Mayor Ze'ev Bielski for the chairmanship of the Jewish Agency, the organization told The Jerusalem Post Wednesday.

Though Bielski has already received Prime Minister Ariel Sharon's backing and that of the agency's advise and consent committee, he also needs World Likud approval.
